OOHMnipresent
Music defines their lives; they found each other through music. Maria and Pepi Freund from Austria developed OOHM and gave it its unique spatial sound. They met each other through music, because they even play the same instrument, the French horn.
Maria
Maria Freund worked as a clerk in wholesale and assisted management with bookkeeping and payroll accounting before studying elementary music education at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, where she graduated with honours. Since 2009, she has been working as a music teacher, bringing music and its many facets to people of all ages in music schools throughout the region of Upper Austria, so she knows what music can achieve. Since 2016, following numerous training courses as a human energetics therapist, she has also been helping people to improve their health and well-being. Maria has been able to pass on her extensive knowledge of music as the leader of a youth orchestra and conductor of several brass bands in Upper Austria.
Pepi
Pepi Freund trained as an office clerk and followed his vocation for sales early on in his career. He has since worked for a leading wholesale company, first as a sales representative and since 2017 as team leader for the Upper Austrian market. He also gained expertise in the areas of personality (NLP), leadership, train the trainer and has participated in many training courses. He loves organising things and has been closely involved in the running of the local brass band, as a parents’ representative at school, in the tennis club and in the football club, where he coaches the junior team.
OOHMfeelings
Maria and Pepi have two children. With OOHM, they want to increase awareness of how special music can be. They understand how sound, vibration and emotions are connected, and how they can bring these feelings into the world with OOHM. With the app, they want to offer a platform to creators of music, because naturally, they pay for the music behind it. OOHM is at home wherever you are, including at work, and for whatever reason, for revitalising and for relaxing. That OOHM is particularly suitable to give as a present is also something that they have both often experienced.
